         Glen is a big powerful dog who we think looks like his sire FTCH Drakeshead Indiana. He has a calm, biddable

         and affectionate temperament, and possesses good natural hunting and working skills. Although Glen is a big,

         fast and stylish worker, he is always thoughtful in his work and remains totally dedicated and loyal to his handler.

         We have enjoyed working with Glen throughout the summer months, training with him at an advanced level and

         putting him through his paces. He has also been used as a demonstration dog in our training groups where he has

         remained calm and relaxed - even when we have had the more boisterous and excitable young pups around.

         Glen went on the shoot last winter, where he did his first full season picking-up. We are also wanting to introduce  

         him into working tests later this summer where we are hoping he will do well.

This is Elder - a sturdy, strong, energetic and happy chappie who has been a pleasure to own and train with. He is a beautiful, easy going, friendly and dependable dog who everyone comments about.

We started with Elders training at around 6/7 months of age and it was obvious from the beginning that he was a natural worker and that he possessed all of the qualities which are required for gundog work. When we introduced him to some basic commands he took everything in his stride and always remained calm, steady and focused - even when the advanced dogs worked round him. His advanced training has come on a treat and he enjoys been pushed and challenged with the tests we set up for him. He thoroughly enjoys every aspect of training and working.

Elder has been introduced to the shoot this season where he has remained calm and focused. Next year we are going to enter him into working tests and then field trials next season. I am sure he will excel and enjoy 'doing his job'.
